Jordan 'sloth' Mock

SlothFi is trade name of Jordan 'sloth' Mock, an independent software developer focused on building simple tools.

About Me

I'm a self-taught developer, which basically just means that I've watched countless tutorials and I truly believe that the search engine is my best friend (not you, Google).

I started learning about computers and programming when I was around 14 years old (much older than the youth of today), and I've been building things (on and off) ever since. I don't have a formal education in computer science or software engineering, but I've learned a lot through trial and error and by building things that interest me.

Now it's time that I start putting things out there (not just public repositories on GitHub), and hold myself accountable to actually finishing projects.
My hope is that by sharing my work, I can get some sort of feedback. And maybe even help someone, anyone, out there on their way.

In the meantime though, thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. I hope you find something useful or interesting here, and if you have any feedback or suggestions, feel free to reach out to me at slothmock1@proton.me.

Cheers,
Jordan 'sloth' Mock

What I Build/Stuff I Make

I like programming at its core. The idea of having some abstract problem that I can break down into separate logical actions and then write code to complete each one is extremely satisfying to me.

Also the whole

*clickety-clack make brain brrrr*

I don't have a specific niche or anything, but I do tend to gravitate towards building tools that make my life easier. I also like to build things that are just fun to build, even if they don't necessarily have a practical use.

I have a lot of ideas for things I want to build, but I also have a tendency to get distracted by new ideas and start building something new before finishing the last thing I was working on. So we'll see how it goes.
